Exotic Equity Derivatives Trading

This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
As a Barclays Exotic Equity Derivatives Trader, your main task will be to risk manage the Index light exotics books and undertake pricing of structured products requests for clients of the bank. These will include hedge funds, pension funds, prop desks, insurance companies and other institutional accounts. As an experienced trader you will have the chance to be collaborating with the senior traders on the desk to risk manage positions, especially on index vega, gamma, dividends and index and cross asset correlation.

• You will be undertaking daily trading responsibilities including running reports for risk management purpose, Rates/FX/funding hedging of the books
- Undertaking pricing in coordination with structuring in the different regions
- Developing new spreadsheets and tools to improve the Bank’s overall infrastructure platform
- Learning all the different aspects relating to the management of complex exotics books
- Communicating with the rest of the index volatility trading teams in Asia and the US both across Equity Derivatives Exotics and flow
- You will be working as a team player on project based work involving many touch points across the bank
What we’re looking for:
- A Degree in a Finance related subject
- Sound and clear communicator that works thoughtfully and logically whilst being tenacious
- An individual highly motivated to learn and someone that proactively seeks responsibility
- Someone that is able to work in a highly pressured environment
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Someone that possesses volatility and light exotic trading experience
- Excellent IT and technical skills, good knowledge and understanding of internal systems
- A motivated and dedicated person, team player who will fit perfectly into the department and the bank
