Heritable Development Finance represents a joint venture between OSB Group and Heritable Capital Limited. Heritable’s core business is the funding of residential and mixed use developments and we work closely with developers and housing associations in order to understand their complex funding requirements. Heritable provide senior debt for new build developments as well as for the conversion and refurbishment of existing buildings and we understand that a specialist sector needs expert knowledge. We are a small team of 12 who have many years of experience working for a number of niche development funders.
Due to promotions within the team we are now looking for a Junior Lender. The role reports into a senior Lending Director and is based from our London office, travel to various UK development sites will be required for this role.
At Heritable members of the team commit significant capital alongside the bank, giving our team personal interest in the success of the development projects that we fund.
About Us:As a Junior Lender you will provide assistance to the front office lending team by assisting with; the management of existing loans, customer relationship management, deal origination, credit analysis and deal execution.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the management and development of customer relationships and ongoing monitoring of loans including; liaising with customers, reviewing reports, managing monthly loan drawdowns, completing customer diligence and supporting the Lending Directors in identifying and managing any potential risk issues
- Regular reviews and analysis of the existing loan portfolio, and
- The completion of monthly reports to ensure the portfolio position is regularly and accurately updated
- Supporting new business generation, including researching and identifying potential new lending opportunities
- Detailed analysis of new lending opportunities to assist with deal assessment including; financial analysis, cashflow modelling in excel and assisting with the completion of detailed credit proposals
- Attending credit committee and taking comprehensive minutes of discussions as a record of decisions
- Assisting with structuring, negotiating and documenting new loans which will also include undertaking all necessary customer and property diligence as well as liaising appropriately with the Loans Administration team (under the supervision of a Lending Director)
We offer a salary between £50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience and location in addition to a competitive benefits package:

We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the financial services or property sector
- Knowledge of UK property markets with a focus on residential development
- Understanding of financial accounts, business, banking and the economy
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of numeracy’
- Experience of report writing and presenting with excellent written and oral communication
- Advanced Excel skills and experience of cashflow modelling is preferable
