The Role
A new exciting opportunity has arisen within the Technology Department to join us as Junior IT Support Engineer. Due continued growth of the company we are looking for a Junior IT Support Engineer to work alongside our Senior IT Support Engineer to provide support to the organisation in our main office in Blandford, Dorset.
Reporting directly to the Chief Technical officer (CTO), this new role involves working as part of our Technology Team, supporting both the Senior IT Support Engineer and all members of staff with any day-to-day technical queries. You will also be involved with the Linux System Administrator in the regular Linux Server maintenance. You will be responsible for triaging problems and leading on investigating and resolving issues and supporting on wider company. The company operate a number of external facing servers and Virtual Servers, which includes a Storage Area Network. The VMs are created on a Linux environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage internal IT support tickets via phone, email and face to face
- Escalating issues to the Senior Support IT Engineer.
- Helping the Linux Systems Administrator in maintaining the Linux server environment.
- Provide training and support for a range of internal and external IT systems
- Manage and support, Microsoft systems including Windows 11, O365, SharePoint and Teams
- Configuring new company hardware, including laptops, mobiles, iPads
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
- Maintain and support WI’s computer systems
- Ensure that working practices for IT systems adhere to GDPR standards
- Promote IT security best practice including password management
Requirements
- Windows 11 Desktop Experience
- Office 365 / Azure
- Working knowledge of networks and Wi-Fi
- Ability to work with team members to identify and solve technical problems
- Skillset sharing – enhancing knowledge of team members
- Ability to problem solve under time constraints
- Being able to adapt to change with company growth
- Desire to develop a service that meets the company needs
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months

Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum, depending on experience
Role Type: Full Time/Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Office based near Blandford Forum, Dorset
Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays
