Would you like to join one of the largest providers of communications and IT solutions across the UK as a Junior Infrastructure Engineer? Your key objectives will be to deliver Daisy services including client rehearsals and invocations.

Since being founded in 2001, Daisy delivers solutions and services serving more 2,000 UK businesses across all sectors – with a portfolio spanning Modern Workplace, Connectivity, Unified Communications, Cloud, Cyber Security and Operational Resilience.

This role is primarily based in Wapping however travel to Sevenoakes will be required when necessary.


Job Description


About the role…

Helping to ensure the sites statutory compliance are met. Ensuring the successful running of the recovery centres from a facilities and service delivery perspective.


Responsibilities

  • Site telephony checks
  • Site Hardware checks
  • Assist with co-ordinating, setting up and supporting customer rehearsals and invocations
  • Performing basic IT tasks which include imaging PC’s, replacing failed components and hardware setups
  • Infrastructure patching and cabling
  • Assist with statutorily building compliance which include:

Monthly EML checks

Monitoring the weekly water flushing and ensuring records are maintained

Weekly fire alarm testing

Inducting external contractors to ensure site rules are adhered to

Monthly reporting for customers

Monthly internal statistical reporting

  • Assist maintaining customer portals
  • Door access card administration
  • Allocating and deallocating lockers, ensuring site records are kept up to date
  • Ensuring the recovery centres are always presentable
  • Front of house cover for annual leave/sickness
  • Ensure buildings are open and provide access for staff, customers and contractors
  • Daily site building checks and logging of facilities issues
  • Out of hours on-call to provide facilities support and basic technical support
  • Deployment of datacentre equipment including cabinets and IT equipment
  • Ensuring ISO security standards are upheld and adhered to

Qualifications


What do we need from you?


  • Intel/Windows desktop support
  • Image deployment tools such as Ghost
  • Understanding of Networks, Switches & Firewalls
  • Understanding of Windows Server operating systems
  • Exposure to voice and data communications
  • Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills
  • Professional and flexible approach to work
  • Smart and presentable, flexible with a strong and demonstrable work ethic
  • Ability to participate in out of hours call out rota
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good commercial and business attitude
  • Driving licence and car required
  • Willing to travel between Wapping and Sevenoaks
