An exciting opportunity has arisen for anyone looking for their first step into HR business partnering. We are looking for an aspiring Junior HR Business Partner to join the People team.
Your team:
You will be supporting the HR Director of The Sun, Broadcasting & CFO and HRBPs, working closely with the whole People team and business managers.
Day to day you will:
- Working alongside the HRBPs, partner with clients to design organisational structure including efficiency reviews and strategic support in developing the people strategy
- Oversee the implementation of the year end compensation planning process while ensuring a strong link to performance
- Reinforce policies and practices – promptly escalate and assist to resolve issues
- Employee relations case management – support HR business partners and work with the wider HR team on process and decisions relating to complex cases with financial or legal risks, e.g. redundancies, grievances, disciplinary actions
- Be an HR key contact for your client group
- Work with your HRBPs to use HR data to make strategic recommendations with your client group
- Working with the business/Finance/HRBPs, manage and oversee the process surrounding all financial and compensation business requirements
- Overseeing the employee lifecycle from start to finish and adapting to the requirements for the different business units you’ll be supporting
- Contribute to delivery of the People team strategy
- Picking up ad hoc duties as and when required to ensure the success of the People team.
What we’re looking for from you:
- Someone who is looking for the next step in their career and feels that they have what it takes to support the current HR Business Partners to help drive HR initiatives and projects
- You will have good proven problem-solving skills
- You will have assisted a People team in either an advisor or support role
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to talk to people at all levels and offer advice in line with the company values
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law
- Proactive and enthusiastic approach to all things people!
