Job description
We are looking for a Junior or Graduate Construction Manager, ideally located in the South of England, who is keen to start or develop their construction career in technically challenging site construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Initially you will be supporting our Scitech construction managers to build process technology-based facilities for our pharmaceutical and life sciences clients. You may help deliver a manufacturing facility for a pharmaceutical company, a high containment facility for a hospital, or a controlled-environment laboratory for a university for example. Over time, through training and on-the-job development, you will start to lead smaller construction projects yourself.
Junior Construction Manager Requirements:
In order to fulfil this key role, you will have a relevant qualification in construction or the built environment. Alternatively, you might have been on the tools on a construction site and feel ready to move into site management.
You will be interested in complex and technically challenging construction and have a basic understanding of mechanical, process and electrical engineering in relation to building management.
Ideally you be SMSTS qualified and possess a CSCS card. What is essential though is the ability to get on with people, convey lots of enthusiasm, possess bags of common sense and a can-do attitude.
You will need to be prepared to travel and stay away from home – depending on the project location.
As well as being computer literate (word and excel in particular), any experience of project management (including MS Project) and contracts would be highly advantageous. We will sponsor chartership with a professional body such as CIOB and continue to develop your skills and your career.
About Scitech:

Our expertise ranges from design and build contracting and construction management to commissioning and qualification, pharmaceutical validation and quality consultancy. What’s in it for you:

We know how important your professional and career development is and we will work with you to build the skills and knowledge needed to further your career. We believe in rewarding those who share and exemplify our values and deliver for our customers. In short, your success is our success.
