Join Macquarie’s Commodities & Global Markets group as a Junior Front Office Business Analyst based in London. In this role you will be part of a global team, working to deliver a new trading platform with focus on the Commodities & Repo desks.
Sitting within Commodities & Global Markets Central team, the Platforms team is responsible for designing and incorporating new product screens into a new, state-of-the-art front office trading platform. You will work to ensure the application meets the needs of the various stakeholders, whilst improving and maintaining those functions and products which have already been released. Your ability to work collaboratively will be demonstrated as you engage with Trading, Technology and downstream teams throughout the Commodities and Global Markets business and support areas. Your drive for continuous improvement will be utilised as you create sustainable and innovative solutions to address business-led issues and requirements.

A day in the life of this role will include:
Working with front office to gather their requirements for the new product screens, and gather feedback on legacy platforms
Driving improvements to the platform for both existing screens as well as those under development
Working with our Technology team to guide and direct members as they navigate the requirements and designs
Testing the new product screens and functions to ensure all requirements have been met
Exposure to a broad range of products and systems across Commodities and Global Markets – learning and applying new things every day
What skills will you use?
To be successful in the role you will bring with you 1-3 years prior experience as a Junior Business Analyst. You will also possess domain knowledge of financial markets products, including understanding of front to back system flows and product lifecycles. You will have keen eye for what makes a good User Experience as well as an ability to understand the technology behind the application.
You will also have:
Prior experience as a Business Analyst or Technology Business Analyst, preferably in a financial institution.
Some understanding of commodities markets would be beneficial
Ability to work collaboratively within and across teams.
Ability to assimilate information and a curiosity to ask appropriate questions to develop business and functional requirements.
Clear and concise communication skills.
Excellent analytical capacity supported by an attention to detail.
A focus on high quality and timely delivery, well-developed process skills and the ability to prioritise, manage parallel tasks, and project deliverables.
