Junior Engineer
Salary: £30,000-£33,000 per annum

Avia Technique, an established aviation safety specialist based in Wokingham, Berkshire is looking for a Junior Engineer to join the in house Engineering team. Working alongside Project & Design Engineers and our Group Operational Excellence Manager, this role will be focused on production maintenance and typical duties will include for completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities, facilities tasks including contractor liaison and production support.
0815-1645, Monday to Friday, based in Wokingham
No shift work, no overnights!
Main Duties/Responsibilities
· Responding to both unplanned maintenance requirements and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) for pressurised operating rigs within our organisation.
· Self-manage and perform the Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedule across the organisation throughout each calendar year.
· Support the upkeep of all operational pressurised rig procedures.
· Organise/allocate all internal facilities requests whilst consulting with the appropriate contractors when required to perform external works and supervise when on site.
· To complete internal Facilities works as required and where possible.
· Support and provide technical assistance to the production workshops with any breakdown of equipment, aiming to resolve problems in a timely manner.
· Manufacture and assemble conformity crates periodically for the workshops as required.
· Implement actions surrounding health & safety in a timely manner.
· Work as part of the Engineering team to problem solve.
· Liaise with the manufacturing team, suppliers and internal/external customers to effect timely creation of designs and product.
· Work from sometimes limited documentation, written or oral instructions, schematics, rough drawing, diagrams, layouts and plans.
· To ensure, PPE (as appropriate) is worn, all tasks are carried out safely and in line with appropriate company and national regulation whilst working in line with regulatory framework. Risks must be considered and mitigated when working with high pressure systems.
· Ensure deadlines are met and any delays are communicated to the Engineering Team Leader.
· To review and understand the maintenance organisation exposition.
· To follow company operating procedures and technical data.
· Always demonstrate attention to detail and apply good housekeeping/5S methodology.
· Ensure training and records are in place before embarking on a specific task.
· To maintain the engineering data stored on the company SharePoint system.
· Other relevant tasks as requested by COO and Operational Excellence Manager.
Requirements:
· Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent/similar with experience.
· Technical or engineering experience working with pressurised systems desirable.
· Commercially Aware.
· Hands on experience with engineering tools.
· Tool Making experience on lathes & mills desirable but not essential
