Position: Junior Designer – High End Luxury Interiors
Location: West London
Salary: Basic Salary £30-35k, 40 hours per week, 29 days holiday (including Bank Holidays), plus 1 additional day for every 5 years employment served.
Our Client:
An award-winning manufacturer and designer of high-quality bespoke furniture and architectural joinery are looking for an experienced CAD designer who is keen to develop into Sales Design under the supervision of our Senior Designer.
They are involved with the designing, making and installation of domestic rooms with fitted furniture and architectural joinery. All their projects are bespoke, therefore they tailor their work to fit their clients’ needs and tastes.
Their clients expect a thoroughly professional approach with outstanding design solutions, products and service. In this role you will therefore need to demonstrate a flair for creative solutions with both design and practicality in mind. You will need to have a fine eye and attention to detail and be extremely thorough in the design and delivery of your projects.
A knowledge of quality kitchen appliances, work surfaces and sanitaryware would be beneficial.
You will be responsible for representing the company in a highly professional manner. You will be at the forefront of communications with clients and expected to be punctual, smart in appearance, courteous and confident.
Job Duties:
- Work closely with the Sales Designers, Project Manager and CAD Manager to produce detailed drawings of bespoke furniture
- Attend client & internal meetings taking detailed notes to understand the design brief
- Produce services drawings for sites
- Ensure all technical details are translated
- Specify technical elements (hinges, slides, covers etc.)
Skills and Qualifications:
- Sound knowledge of CAD software, preferably Cabinet Vision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Detail orientated
- Industry knowledge
- Proficient Microsoft Office user
- Team player
The ideal candidate should have employment experience in furniture or kitchens or joinery design.
A background in making furniture/joinery an advantage but not essential.
