We have an exciting opportunity for a talented, e-Commerce Designer to join the exciting E-commerce team at our European HQ in West London. The E-commerce Designer is responsible for the delivery of all visual assets for Canon’s e-commerce sites. What we ask
- Create visual assets for all of Canon’s B2C e-commerce sites- banners, wireframes, presentations, editorial, video editing, email newsletters and social content
- Create wireframes for new and existing pages using data and insights to make informed decisions e.g. looking at Google Analytics data, heatmaps, user surveys etc.
- Review all incoming briefs for design-related requests in JIRA ensuring requirements are clear, planned in sprints and delivered on time
- Create and maintain a UI Style guide for e-commerce sites- ensuring it’s updated as and when new functionalities are launched or whenever there is an update to brand guidelines
- Review wireframes/designs from external Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) agency, and advice on compliance with brand
- guidelines and existing UI style guidelines. Lead content-led website optimisation projects working closely with the CRO agency to set-up A/B tests. Brief winning tests to an external agency to implement on the live site
- A hands-on user of Canon’s Digital Asset Management system which is used for storing all marketing communication assets like the imagery
- A hands-on user of the Content Management system (e.g. Oracle ATG BCC)- ability to make quick changes by yourself and create campaign landing pages, when required
- Experience or interest in User Interface (UI) design for a responsive website will be an advantage
- Research on industry trends, innovation and monitor competitors for ideas brainstorm and sharing the findings with the team on a regular basis
You will need
As Junior Designer you have:
Design degree- Some experience working as a Digital/E-commerce designer
- Expert knowledge of Adobe XD and Creative Suite
- Hands-on experience with e-Commerce software like Oracle ATG BCC/ Magento or Web Content Management software will be an advantage. Training will be provided.
- Comfortable with the use of heat mapping tools like ContentSquare & beginners’ skills for Google Analytics
- Use of ticketing & document management tools like JIRA & Confluence
- Advance web design skills (HTML5 & CSS3)
- Experience designing HTML emails and newsletters
- Experience in UI Design for responsive, iOS and Android and User Experience (UX) will be an advantage
- Good understanding of web accessibility & usability standards
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to self-manage and prioritise all work
- Experience working with external agencies and partners
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- You have an online portfolio or PDF that you can share with us
Further Information
Location: Stockley Park, Uxbridge. Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 working from home.
In addition to a salary of between £26,350 - £31,000 you'll be eligible for a performance-based bonus of 10%.
