Role Title: Business Analyst - Remote position, may require some visits to GM’s HQ

Overview of the Team:
CM2 supports Marketing, Digital and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) activities at General Motors Canada Company. CM2 is based at GM's Canadian headquarters in Oshawa, and aligned with the vehicle sales and service activities of GM.

The Business Analyst (BA) role is a full-time position within the Data Enablement team at GM. The Data Enablement team is part of the Corporate Marketing and Innovation organization within GM and has a mandate to be the center of excellence in CRM and digital innovation, enablement and operations. The group sits at an enterprise level and has a purview across all brands and consumer facing lines of business. Overview of Position:
As an integral member of the Data Enablement team, the BA will be responsible for the planning, definition, and delivery of data, application, and process initiatives that support the timely delivery of evolving consumer data management needs. You will help drive the success of GM’s CRM and Enterprise efforts by actively managing platforms and data subject areas. You will collaborate with global product teams as well as local stakeholders. Some of the areas where you will be involved will be new feature enhancements, project delivery management, testing, deployment, and feedback, as they relate to Digital and Data Enablement solutions. Key Activities:
- You will be responsible for gathering requirements, creating business requirement documents, project management, collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to implement data enablement solutions
- Translate marketing/business requirements into business rule definitions, business process documentation, and technical requirements for development
- Strong analysis skills are required to help breakdown problems/challenges into logical steps
- Holistically own projects taking them from inception to launch
- Provide project support, includes participating in meetings and project scoping
- Effective at collaborating with cross-functional & global operations stakeholders to support new products and process.
- Prepare, update, and manage project and process documentation
- Actively seek out & engage in development opportunities

Requirements / Qualifications / Education / Work Expierence:
- Minimum 2 years of proven BA experience and passion for building great products and business system solutions
- Undergraduate degree in Commerce / Business Admin / Computer Science or related discipline, or work equivalent
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, and client expectations
- Strong technical competence to weigh in system design & technical tradeoff decisions
- Experience managing technical projects and coordinating technical project teams; preparing technical and business process documentation with respect to enterprise marketing databases, applications, and marketing campaigns
- Ability to query, analyze, and develop findings & insights through data exploration
Minimum Key Skills, Knowledge, Competencies:
- Ability to converse fluently with both technical and business teams
- Ability to create logical documentation of systems and processes including but not limited to data feeds; integration points; databases; etc.
- Digitally savvy with exposure to XML, JSON, SQL
- Knowledge of database structures, tables and relationships
- SQL for data analysis including query writing, indexing and data manipulation
- Disciplined, organized, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Thorough by nature; quality and process-oriented
