The Recipe
To be responsible for transforming data by way of analysis and applying visualisation techniques to enable the business to interpret and take effective and efficient action.
The Role
- To be responsible for developing business requirement and specifications in collaboration with Business Analysts.
- Responsible for performing data warehouse design and modelling according to established standards for ETL.
- To be responsible for developing standard reports and functional dashboards based on business requirements.
- Identify and resolve data reporting issues in a timely fashion.
- Stay updated with business operations and business intelligence processes in order to identify enhancements.
- To undertake and successfully complete the required apprenticeship/graduate scheme.
Essential Ingredients
- Understanding of Analytics applications e.g. Power BI
- Data warehouse knowledge both multi-dimensional and tabular
- Post-GSCE qualification in IT – such as A-Levels or BTEC.
- Knowledge of SQL, MDX and DAX programming languages
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Excellent Problem solving and attention to detail
- Pro-active and ability to work to agreed timelines
- Commitment to developing in the BI eco systems
