Job description
The shift pattern for this position is Mon – Fri 8.30am – 5pm.
The post forms part of the business support team and provides administrative support to the HQ function for South Locality.
The post will cover main enquiries, route visitors to the HQ, undertake room bookings, provide admin support to allocated Managers, undertake purchase order indents and liaise with Procurement and Payments Department. The postholder will undertake ID badges for new and current staff within the locality. The postholder will co-ordinate training information for statutory training sessions including Fire training. The postholder may be required to administer meetings, taking action notes and typing up of information from training events. The postholder will have frequent contact with staff and visitors coming to the HQ. The postholder will administer room bookings. .At all times they are expected to act in a courteous and professional manner. The postholder will update SSTS noting leave for the HQ management team on a timely basis.
Must show competence in the basic use of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualification e.g. ECDL.
Must show knowledge of working in an office environment and of operation of office equipment and systems. This may be through formal training or work experience.
Postholder should be a highly skilled communicator with the ability to communicate with stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
