ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our amazing Planning Team!
You will be responsible for ensuring all data going into the ERP system is accurate & timely. This will include helping the Senior Data Analyst in defining how data should be entered and writing SOPs, training users across the Production and Logistics departments and monitoring data entry. You will also maintain some master data and support other teams in posting purchasing, inventory and production transactions where needed.
You will work closely with the Senior Data Analyst to extract data, analyse it and build reports that generate insight and assist colleagues across the business understand their data and make decisions. These reports may be in Excel, SQL or our Business Intelligence reporting tool.
You will be highly numerate, curious and keen to learn new tools and systems. You will be a great communicator, both in writing and in person. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to learn advanced Excel, SQL and to contribute to Business Intelligence reporting.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Posting transactions for contractor production sites to SAP B1 (Goods Receipt POs, Stock Transfers, Production Orders).- Supporting other teams in posting transactions where needed (across Production and Logistics departments).
- Monitoring alerts for incorrect or late transactions to ensure consistent and accurate data entry (across Production and Logistics departments). Ad hoc & reactive troubleshooting where necessary.
- Work closely with Senior Data Analyst to define how data should be entered into SAP and capturing this by writing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Running and monitoring a training for SAP users, including introductory and refresher session for new and existing users. Looking for opportunities to extend to new teams or deepen existing user’s SAP understanding.
- Assist in maintaining up to date master data including Item Master, Bill of Materials, Brand Master, Pack Type and Item Templates.
- Be an advocate for and drive forward the data culture at Beavertown. Positively influence teams to better put data at the centre of their processes and decision making.
- Identifying how existing but as-yet unused ERP functionality or new data reports could solve business problems or improve efficiency. This may include GAP analysis, where you will define ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ business processes.
- Write basic SQL queries to extract data from SAP and generate alerts and reports.
- Generate reports and dashboards in Excel. You will use Excel Pivot tables and formula to manipulate data and generate insights.
- Opportunity to contribute to Business Intelligence report building.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
University degree in Computer Science, IT, or Maths preferred, but not essential- Highly numerate
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Prepared for rapid learning curve to understand new systems and tools (including SAP B1, Excel and SQL)
- Positive attitude with great influencing skills.
- Good communication and training skills

- Good written skills
