This is a unique role that has come up within one of the biggest retailers in the UK. We are looking for a creative and fashion forward designer, who can seamlessly create colour palettes that align with bigger Macro Trends as well as more commercial driven stories and concepts. They must always be keen to push the boundaries, always aware of our competitors as well as the must have trends and brands of the moment, from a local & global viewpoint. They need to be able to react, and flex their working styles, be present within our Support Centre at least 3 days a week and be real team members and influencers across the business. This is a 12-month FTC.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Support Senior Colour Designer with new colour ideas, directions, and combinations at the start of each new season to influence WW and Lingerie colour strategies.
  • Support Trend Lead with Trend & Colour concepts.
  • Support with Design Product Strategy presentations (WW & Lingerie).
  • Demonstrate knowledge of accurate Colour Matching & develop full understanding of our internal colour library.
  • Influence partners with inspirational shop reports, trade fairs and exhibitions to be fully implemented in Colour Strategies.
  • Drive seasonal Colour Catwalk Reports and Analysis with a strong Point of view.
  • Create Lingerie specific colour overview each season.
  • Build digital and physical palettes.
  • Coordinate Seasonal Trend and Colour Books meetings with external agencies in line with our CP.
  • Input budget spreadsheet.
  • Support on CP & planning.
  • Coordinate and manage the ordering of colour tools and resources (Order Colour standards, dyed Colour lengths)
Qualification needed.
  • Textile / fashion degree
  • Experience across Fashion Design Trend & Colour.
Essential skills
  • Superior accuracy in colour.
  • A real passion yet commercial eye for fashion and design.
  • Retail experience in colour Design and/or Working with suppliers or manufacturers on colour (being close to the product)
  • Demonstrate strong presentation, communication, and written skills.
  • Proficient in InDesign, photoshop and Microsoft office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Able to Multi task and to work as part of the team as well as working independently.
Desirable skills
  • Experience in working alongside Buying and VM.
  • Generating innovative ideas and opportunities to inspire the team.
