The Wine Flyer is a new eCommerce venture from IAG Loyalty, making great products accessible to our customers!

At a glance
You'll be a key part of the operation at our new retail wine venture The Wine Flyer. You will ultimately be responsible for supporting all product selection and buying-related tasks such as weekly replenishments, PO and supplier management, choosing the right product mix, managing the introduction of new products, monitoring product performance, and providing administrative support.
What you will be doing?
- Managing the inventory ordering process, including liaising with suppliers, raising purchase orders dealing with issues arising with orders both internally and externally.
- Managing the introduction of new suppliers with procurement and co-ordination of resulting processes with relevant departments (supply chain, finance, etc).
- Working closely alongside the Merchandiser and wider team to monitor performance relating to inventory and inform forecasting/purchasing decisions.
- Managing the introduction of selected new products into the business including collation of item information and images from suppliers, item setup in core systems and co-ordination of set up activities with Sales & Marketing and Operations teams.
- Supporting product selection activities including management of samples (obtaining them from suppliers, preparing samples for meetings, sealing samples, storage and disposal).
- Monitoring external impacts on supply chain and the general industry to deliver a resilient operation.
- Reviewing and analysing customer preference trends and product decisions that competitors are making.
- Supporting trading meeting activities preparing information on product performance and assisting in running of the trade meetings.
- General administration activities required to ensure smooth operation of the buying and merchandising function.
What skills and experience do we need you to bring?
- Highly organised with attention to detail when performing tasks, ability to anticipate and manage problems, with an ability to prioritise and escalate where necessary.
- Systems experience or a clear demonstration of the ability to learn to use systems quickly.
- Good communication skills; communicating clearly in writing and in person in both formal and informal environments.
- Knowledge of, or strong desire to learn about the end to end Buying process to take responsibility for Critical Path Management.
- Familiarity with SAP/Ariba preferred
- Buying Experience preferred
- Wine Knowledge desirable
