What you will be doing...
We're looking for a Junior Business Analyst to help improve our customers holiday experience. At Jet2 we're flying around 14 million passengers this year, that's a lot of the nation, and we want everybody to enjoy that time as much as possible. We are also growing the business and increasing the size of our network and we know we can do more for our customers. We understand digital is at the heart of every experience within our lives today and we embrace that so we can maximise our customers enjoyment when holidaying with us.
To make all this happen we have a vast estate of digital products, data and processes and as our Junior Business Analyst, you'll take the first step on your journey to become part of a wider business analysis practice that supports this. You will work alongside Business Analysts and Senior Analysts to support the capture of requirements for an initiative from inception to the point it goes live. You will support the facilitation of stakeholder workshops; learning how to interview and use effective questioning to capture requirements and analysis output.
What will you do in the role?
- Assist with the capture of requirements for initiatives, documenting these and creating supporting information
- Collaborate with the Development Team to ensure all parties have a clear idea of what is to be delivered, using sessions like ‘3 Amigos’
- Support the Business Analyst in the running of estimation sessions to understand the effort to deliver any requirements captured
- Work hand in hand with internal departments and other business analysts to understand the needs of the business
- Work closely with counterparts in digital product management, design, and software engineering to support the delivery of one or more initiatives that meet the operational and financial targets of the business
- Stay up to date with the latest business analysis trends and techniques
What are the key skills/experience you’ll already have?
- Some experience of business analysis would be useful but not essential
- Enthusiasm and a proactive desire to learn
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
