The Role
We are looking for a Junior Business Analyst who is intelligent, articulate, curious and who has strong logical and numerical reasoning to join an established BA team within the Business Change function. Working on a mix of business process change and IT Systems/software delivery to support the Company achieve its strategic goals. We would welcome applications from candidates who have some experience within the insurance industry and would like to move into a Business Analyst role.
This is a new role and a great chance to build your career as a Business Analyst within a key function. You will learn from a highly experienced BA team as well as gain a business/technology skillset and work with senior management in the business change and technology functions.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working amongst a team to identify and analyse the effects of change
- Capture, document and agree prioritised list of business requirements and objectives
- Map both current and future state processes
- Ensuring that all new or changed technology solutions adhere to the business requirements and standards
- Organise workshops to create business processes which do not already exist, using the most appropriate methods and techniques
- Evaluate already existing business processes identifying where amendments can be made
Essential Skills & Experience:
As a Junior Business Analyst, some of the following are preferred but not all are essential, as training (including the opportunity to achieve formal qualification) will be provided.
We do however require some experience of the London / Lloyd's Insurance Market.
- Strong interest in business and technology / digital solutions
- Detail and process oriented, analytical, and inquisitive
- A strong desire to challenge the “current status quo”
- Strong analytical skills or interest
- Experience of project involvement would be advantageous
- Able to build strong relationships with both internal and external parties
- Confident public speaker and presenting in front of colleagues and clients
- Show the ability to identify issues and solve problems in a logical manner.
- Be able to work independently on assigned projects, and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Underwriting, Claims, Operations or Finance processes within insurance would be advantageous.
