Job Title: Junior Accounts Administrator
Salary: up to circa £28,000 per annum
Location: Earlsfield, London
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm
We are retained by this independent distributor who are seeking a Junior Accounts Administrator for this well establised family run business.
They supply to both trade and public and have been around for many years where they have developed a strong name within their industry.
The Junior Accounts Administrator will be responsible for processing invoices, general administration, filing , Sales and Purchase Ledger and dealing with clients over the phone and by email.
The Role
Working alongside the main accountant.
- Generating Invoices and accounts statements.
- Maintaining accounts customer files, following up with revisions and dealing with customer queries relating to invoicing.
- Processing and Allocating payments
- Sales Ledger - copy and sending of invoices.
- Dealing with Banking Statements
- Using Excel and general administrative duties.
- Reviewing accounts
- Assist in collecting payments on all outstanding accounts by letter, email and phone.
- Updating spreadsheets
- Updating invoices and receipts.
The Person
This is an entry level role but some experience of working within accounts is a distinct advantage
Ideally the applicant will have or be currently studying numerical based qualifications either at A-Level or higher
A basic understanding of debits & credits, purchase ledgers and sales ledgers
The applicant must be IT literate (Microsoft Office apps), numerically minded, a logical thinker and good at problem solving
Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills
No formal qualifications are required for this role but ideally you will have some minimal accounts experience with good numerical abilities and an eye for detail.
You will however need to have experience of using Excel and be able to eg format cells and find errors on a data sheet.
