As a Wellbeing Program Lead, you will be the face of Optum Workplace Wellbeing to the client and their employees. You will help the client build and enhance their wellbeing culture, deliver engaging health promotion activities, and increase employee health ownership. Your strength lies in your ability to motivate and engage employees in their journey toward better health.
Position Summary:
The Wellbeing Program Lead plays a critical role in the delivery and deployment of Optum’s Wellbeing suite of services, including the support of wellbeing initiatives.
The Wellbeing Program Lead builds an annual global engagement plan which may include elements of digital health, employee engagement tactics, targeted health campaigns around topics such as diabetes, biometric events, health fairs, and employee physical activity challenges. They will have the ability to build active networks with key contacts to keep abreast of new developments/insights. They will use data and population feedback to identify opportunities for driving lifestyle and behavior change through increased population engagement. They may also work with other vendors to support the client’s overall strategy, but they do not own vendor management or vendor relationships.
This role is a key resource working with our global client to assess their needs and help facilitate and successfully implement the wellbeing program.
Position responsibilities:
- Assesses population health needs using audit tools, feedback from employees, and the client to develop and deploy appropriate wellbeing solutions and programming.
- Coordinates, develops, and delivers a range of health interventions to educate members on wellbeing, including an annual calendar of health improvement activities.
- Partners with the client, vendors, and community resources to execute on a workplace wellbeing strategy that will result in improving the health and resiliency of the employee population.
- Ensures familiarity with integrated products, programs and services in order to connect the employee population to their next best action.
- Builds, leads, and expands the client’s international network of Wellness Champions to localize & expand programming to other locations and departments.
- Coordinates health and wellbeing marketing and communications relating to the workplace’s physical and virtual spaces to promote healthy behaviors and health care engagement.
- Reports on engagement, referrals, workplace wellbeing initiatives, and results to demonstrate improvement in baseline metrics.
- Handles and stores all data in compliance with relevant data protection laws and policies (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA,etc).
- Responds to client suggestions, concerns, and complaints in a timely, professional, and consistent manner while providing the gold standard in customer service.
- Implements and follows all Optum Workplace Wellbeing and client policies and procedures.
- Performs any other projects and responsibilities as required.
Knowledge & experience:
- Degree level qualification or professional experience in a health & wellbeing field (e.g., health promotion, occupational health, public health, health education, or related health emphasis)
- Experience of supporting health & wellbeing to national / international / complex environments
- Demonstrable success in delivering effective health & wellbeing strategies/initiatives
- Excellent project management skills managing multiple projects at once
- Experience in developing both internal and external strategic partner relationships and collaboration in progressing best practice Health & Wellbeing strategy/plan
- Experience of working with a diverse range of stakeholders including a successful track record of influencing and engagement and able to establish credibility and build relationships
- Ability to present information using a variety of techniques such as in-person, virtual, group, webinars
- Sound knowledge of multiple communication channels, digital and physical, curating messaging to suit the audience
- Shows innovation and creativity through problem-solving and decision making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information in a clear and compelling way
- Strong curiosity & self-drive, able to prioritise, work independently and manage own time, with limited supervision
