The Education General Manager will have a significant role in leading the future of education and developing the OPC, NETS, EOC 999, 111, and Clinical Hub workforce to support the people of London.
The successful candidate will be someone who has experience in providing leadership, direction and compassionate support with strong communication and organisation skills. You will know how to lead and motivate a team, finding innovative solutions when faced with challenges, while remaining flexible and adaptable in a fast-moving environment. Working closely with the OPC and Education Managers you will be responsible for providing clear, effective leadership for the delivery of professional/technical education and development activity for staff within OPC, NETS, 111, IUC, Clinical Hub, 999 Operations.
You will manage the staff and facilities of the Clinical Education functions, providing clear, effective, reliable and empowering management and leadership. You will be the main interface between Clinical Education and the commissioning bodies within the organisation, being responsible for the local and organisational delivery of the service’s Clinical Education Strategy.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the ongoing review, development and maintenance of quality and standards for clinical educational services and systems. An important emphasis of this post is on cross-functional working, and the post holder will work closely with operational management to develop and maintain work place based education and development that is appropriate to service needs, and which assists in establishing and maintaining a clinical leadership ethos.

Provide clear, effective, empowering, reliable day to day management and leadership for the delivery of professional / technical education and development activity for staff within 111, IUC, Chub, 999 Operations, OPC and NETS.
Act as the main interface between Clinical Education and commissioning bodies within the Trust, responsible for the delivery of the Trust Clinical Education Strategy.
