A rare and exciting opportunity to join Sky Sports team of football reporters. As a Matchday Reporter you will be working at live games across all of our football rights portfolio, interviewing players and managers pre and post-match, breaking stories, building relationships and conducting editorial interviews in the
build-up to matches.
What you'll do:
  • Break big football stories for Sky Sports News/digital platforms
  • Identify key matchday stories and react to breaking news during games
  • Have good working relationships and contacts with players, managers, club execs, comms officials and governing bodies
  • Work with Exec and Senior Producer to conduct and produce high profile editorial interviews in the build-up to live matches
  • In-vision reporter for Soccer Saturday and midweek Soccer Specials when available and required
  • Flexibility to report on all of Sky Sports live football coverage
  • Mentor content creators where applicable
  • Regularly communicate with the DoF and Exec/Senior Producers to ensure production and strategic alignment
  • Be an ambassador and role model for Sky Sports with focus on promoting Diversity and Inclusion
What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience of Matchday Live Football tunnel reporting
  • Strong journalistic and editorial skills essential
  • Ability to build effective and positive relationships and collaborate with a range of individuals at various levels
  • Strong communication (and listening) skills at all levels
