Due to business growth and a huge increase in demand for our professional services and conversion work DC Conversions, part of DC Leisure Group Ltd is looking to expand our rapidly growing family-run team with career opportunities within the business. As a commercial vehicle conversion company that specialise in campervan and motorhome conversions, we are quickly becoming a recognized player in the North West, dedicated to creating innovative, high-spec bespoke conversions with key attention to detail.
We are looking to recruit an experienced bench joiner/cabinet maker with a positive can-do attitude and a keen eye for detail to drive and increase production. You will require good all-around skills and experience in furniture and joinery assembly, solid surface, and laminate fabrication and must be confident in the use of Hand and power tools associated with the trade, always adhering to safe working practices.
Whilst some training will be given, the ideal candidate must have previous experience, be a self-motivator, good team player and strong problem solver. Someone who is professional, hard-working, and passionate about the work they produce, and proactive in driving new and innovative ideas within the business. You will also have good customer service skills and able to interactive with customers, offering ideas and advise. Specific job responsibilities:
· Converting sheets into specific customer designs:
o Campervan/Motorhome kitchen and furniture production and assembly including shaping and moulding
o Elevating roof bed production
o Ply-line kit production
o Plywood Floor production
· CNC machine operation (on the job training can be provided)
· Managing woodwork production workload effectively to coordinate in conjunction with van conversions process.
· Maintain a safe, tidy, and organised workshop environment.
· Order & Procurement – responsible for maintaining adequate levels of stock items for upcoming projects, and sourcing new products and suppliers to reduce costs and increase productivity and efficiency.
· Other tasks commensurate with the role.
Key skills and experience:
· Joinery / Carpentry skills - must have an excellent practical, multi-skilled background with carpentry/cabinet making
· Hand tools, power tools, and precision woodworking equipment – must be confident and excellent working knowledge in the use of equipment.
· Adaptability - must be able to adjust plans in response to shifting strategic company priorities, roles and responsibilities, new systems and technologies, process improvements and policy changes.
· Professional attitude - must be organised, hardworking and have excellent attention to detail with a positive attitude
· Passionate – keen to develop your current skill set and willing to learn new skills.
· Teamwork - must be able to use their initiative working well as part of our friendly team.
· Strong communicator & problem-solving skills - must have good interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Time Management – must be punctual with excellent time management skills to complete tasks within a given time frame and to a high standard.
· Ambition – someone who is enthusiastic and looking at growing and developing a team in the future.
· CNC experience - desirable but training will be given.
· Driving license is required.

Working hours are 8:00 – 17:00 Monday – Friday.
Some additional hours and Saturdays and are expected when necessary, depending on demand and completion deadlines and occasional attendance at trade events to promote the business.
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 per year, dependent on experience
