Jewelry Consultant (P/T Sales) Summary As a member of Creekside Jewelers, your role as a Jewelry Sales Consultant is to develop strong customer relationships. While we are a non-commission based operation, we look to our Jewelry Sales Consultants to maximize sales performance by leveraging their knowledge and customer service. You will help provide exceptional store experiences for each and every customer while developing your skills as a consultant. Creekside Jewelers and its predecessors have occupied the same space for over 120 years in the historical part of downtown Golden, CO. We are a full service fine jeweler offering jewelry and watch sales, repairs and appraisals. Our staff get to share our customer’s special moments and milestones. After all, who comes into a jewelry store in a bad mood? We are looking for individuals that share their love of jewelry and watches, love interacting with people visiting from all over the country, the world, and are looking for a place to work where the team feels like a second family. Essential Duties / Responsibilities You will be providing excellence in service and helping team members do the same. Daily responsibilities may include: ● Personally greeting customers and offering them assistance by being present in the front showroom when not actively working on other activities. ● Present our products to new and existing customers via physical merchandise, web pages or physical catalogs. ● Obtain in-depth knowledge of our products to effectively communicate with our customers during interactions. ● Help foster a positive environment where the team supports one another, learns from each other and makes Creekside Jewelers a great place to work. ● Follow existing processes and procedures for day to day operations. ● Assist with maintaining accurate inventory of all merchandise and ensuring merchandise security. ● Collaborate with other staff members to ensure case presentation is up to set standards. ● Performing duties related to inspections or light repairs such as replacing watch batteries, bands, inspecting and cleaning jewelry, etc… ● Technology responsibilities include, but are not limited to utilizing store tablets or computers to show customers merchandise that is available and can be ordered, check vendor inventory, research customer product requests. ● Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to opening, maintaining and closing the store. Some of these duties include setting up merchandise at the beginning of the day and putting away merchandise at the end of the day. Light cleaning, such as wiping showcases, vacuuming, taking out garbage, and other office and store cleaning and maintenance activities. Depending on your experience we will provide you with the training you need to be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of our merchandise, represent our brand, and create an exceptional store experience for each and every customer. Our goal for our customers is to ensure each one receives the highest level of service; the experience you create is the reason for their return. This is a part time, non-exempt position. Job Requirements ● A minimum of 3 year of sales or other customer-facing experience is required. ● Saturday availability is required. ● Approachable and natural people-person that enjoys interacting with people from all walks of life. ● Genuine affinity for jewelry. ● Retail sales or hospitality industry experience preferred with the ability to present features and benefits of unique products. ● High performing and driven to achieve goals. ● Great listener. Listen to each customer’s needs. ● Motivated team player. ● Adaptability to changing environment, technologies, inventory. ● Comfortable using technology (i.e. tablet or computer). ● As a fine jewelry store, our employees also need to portray an appropriate image to the public which requires employees to dress in business casual attire (e.g. no jeans, athletic sneakers, etc.) ● Ability to lift 10 lbs; mostly be on your feet and mobile around the store during your shift. ● Assist in the maintenance of merchandise control logs. ● Follow all security and loss prevention procedures in accordance with corporate policies. ● Adherence to all store policies. Work Environment The primary environment for this role is an open retail environment. Most business is conducted with customers in person. This role may also speak with customers over the phone or via email. This role involves mostly standing and moving objects during your shift. It involves interacting with coworkers consistently.
