As a Barclays Java Engineer, you will contribute to projects spanning across critical technical deliveries and platform enhancements requested by the product owner or business users. With an emphasis on both technical and communication skills, you will work with other Developers, Business Analysts, Architects and Project Managers. You will also ensure that requirement, functional specifications, and unit testing requirements are well understood, Lastly, you will participate in all aspects of analysis, design, and implementation of software.

• Developing API using technology suite according to detailed design, including Functional and Technical documentation like knowledge articles, user guides and process diagrams
- Partaking in daily stand ups and other relevant agile ceremonies
- Ensuring APIs are developed to the Barclays standard for Security, Performance, Orchestration, Alerting, Usage and meeting SLAs
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders to manage expectations
- Supporting production deployment and live issues
- Attending design calls and providing inputs in design calls
• More than four years’ experience in Micro service Java development
- Hands on experience on WebServices and ability to build API
- Working knowledge and understanding of Enterprise tools like Kibana, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
- Technical background with detail driven and problem-solving abilities
• Exposure to Cloud – AWS
- Exposure to API Gateway and Mule
Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
