Deutsche Bank actively evolves its electronic trading capabilities for the Fixed Income business. This ecosystem includes a full front-to-back technology stack, connectivity to marketplaces and exchanges around the globe, algo and order management frameworks, internal and external APIs, pricing and trading algorithms, risk management, data capture and data analysis capabilities, sophisticated UIs for end users and more. The firm relies on close collaboration across IT and business teams, and agile processes and practices to maintain and extend this mission critical element of DB's franchise.
You will be a member of a London development unit, embedded in a global team. You will report to a local team lead, and locally/remotely collaborate with trading, analysts, developers, testers, project managers and support. In this synergetic environment you will work on the full lifecycle of software products, from analysis and design to implementation, release, and post-rollout L3 support.

Your key responsibilities
- Working on business and functional requirements, technical analysis and design with end users, your team and peer teams in your area
- Implementing enhancements and new features, meeting business needs and solving challenging technical problems
- Always having functional and non-functional requirements in mind, especially stability, resilience, traceability, and reuse
- Reviewing other team members’ code and mentoring junior developers
- Working with end users during production rollout and SL3 support
- Collaborating with QA teams on test automation and DevOps on SDLC and environment management improvements
Your skills and experience
- Excellent core J2SE Java skills (collections, multi-threading, networking)
- Experience in design/development of distributed Java applications without frameworks
- Working knowledge of SQL and knowledge of Linux
- Working knowledge of Solace or Tibco RV messaging solutions
- Knowledge of any of Reuters, Bloomberg, government & credit bonds
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong discipline and risk awareness
