Sponsorship Sales Specialist

The Position
The Sponsorship Sales Specialist will be responsible for securing sponsorship revenue on our international conferences. You will be selling on multiple conferences over the course of the year and of varying formats. You will be expected to grow revenue from a base of existing clients, managing those relationships and rebooking them consistently – critically also have the ability and desire to hunt for new business and grow your revenue number year on year. You will need to be able to sell based on the value of our products and the ability to uncover and solve client problems.
Sponsorship Sales Specialist Requirements
- Maintain a thorough understanding of our products, the industry and why and how our products offer value to clients – focusing on overcoming their core challenges
- Maintain regular contact with clients and formulate innovative, creative and profitable solutions for their business
- Maintain close liaison with the marketing, production and operations teams in order to ensure the delivery of successful customer focused events. Always work as part of a constructive and results driven team effort
- Identify potential customers from competitive media, events and from other business sources – always be able to organically grow your own business
- Grow in the role to be able to offer strategic advice and direction to cross-functional colleagues to ensure that products and offerings reflect the needs of the market
The Ideal Candidate
- A highly ambitious individual who is looking for both a career move and a career path forwards in a new organisation
- A 1 to 3 year track record in business to business sales (ideally sponsorship, conference, events or media sales) that focuses on value based selling
- A solid sales process and/or previous sales training
- Business acumen and strong commercial awareness – a solid understanding of commercial dynamics and buy-side/sell-side interactions
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of clients at all levels
- A desire to develop themselves as a sales professional
- The ability to work with colleagues cross-functionally and function as part of a focused team

Reward
For the successful candidate expect a realistic first year OTE of £100,000 - £120,000
