Introduction
Our client is a major research and development corporation who produce hardware and software! They are looking for an experienced Java Developer to fill a 6 - 12 month inside IR35 contract role.
You will translate system requirements into the design and development of customised systems in an agile environment. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of knowledge surrounding Java and experience working with build tools such as Ant, Maven, or Git
This is a remote working role.
You must hold a live SC or DV clearance and a full British passport to apply.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop Java components using Spring framework to implement transaction management
- Manage Java objects and enterprise integration needs ( messages, routers, transformations, adapters, service activators, management, and auditing)
- Design, develop and support application solutions to meet customer requirements
- Develop technical specifications and unit test cases
- Perform application unit testing activities and Interpret data models
- Assist in developing the system test plan and provide technical leadership in system integration testing
- Participate in user acceptance testing
Skills & experience
- Knowledge of Java 8 or higher
- Proven working experience on both Spring and Hibernate
- Sound knowledge of Java Object-Oriented Programming concepts
- Experience working with build tools such as Ant, Maven, or Git
- Knowledge in Spring configuration using Java, Annotations, and XML
- Aspect oriented programming with Spring and experience in testing Spring applications
- Ability to use Spring for Transaction Management
