DESCRIPTION
The team is based in London and Budapest and is part of the Fed Apps department. The Fed Apps department works on producing and distributing financial risk data to different decision makers within the bank, primarily for FX, IR and Credit products using the RICE platform. Morgan Stanley uses the data to make important decisions, such as: Are we making a profit? Do we have enough cash to fund our trading activity? What are the financial risks we are exposed to and how large are they? And how much capital we require to cover our risk exposure?
Our work helps speed up decision making and improves the accuracy of the data provided. This involves both standardizing risk calculations across different financial products as well as bringing the trading, risk management and finance departments closer together by streamlining the data flows across the bank. This role will be specifically working on the FRTB IMA project, which is a new regulatory requirement which impact bank's capital requirements.
