We are looking for a cleaner to take responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness of our re-homing centre.

Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and normally cares for around 14,000 dogs across its network of 21 rehoming centres in the UK and one in Dublin. Dogs Trust has a non-destruction policy and will never put a healthy dog to sleep.

Our rehoming centres house thousands of dogs each year until they are able to find a loving new home and the success of our centres wouldn’t be possible without our dedicated team of staff and volunteers; there is a real family-community within each of our centres. Come rain or shine, our team are out in all weathers to make sure the dogs have the best possible life. Dealing with thousands of visitors each month, our rehoming centres are the face of Dogs Trust and we pride ourselves on our staff providing the very best in customer service.

In this role you will take take responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness of the reception area, training rooms, staff room and adjoining corridors whilst adhering to the Dogs Trust Health and Safety Policy, ensuring all public areas and clean, safe and welcoming. You'll also continuously monitor the cleanliness of facilities and other equipment and report any faulty or damaged equipment to the Management Team.

With a high attention to detail and ability to follow instructions you'll be familiar with cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning equipment and possess a broad understanding of health and safety requirements in the workplace. You'll also have excellent communications skills and be passionate and committed to the work of Dogs Trust.
