Why Action for Children?
We are one of the UK's largest children's charities – you may have seen us featured in a well-known Christmas TV advert for 2022. One way we support young people is through fun-packed short breaks in small residential homes located in local communities. You could soon be a valued member of our team at Westacre in Newcastle.
At Action for Children, we pride ourselves in being collaborative and inclusive. Are you passionate about changing the lives of children and young people to give them the best possible future?
A bit about the role
We have a unique opportunity for a cleaner to join our team in our newly developed home for children and young people who are looked after. This is an exciting, challenging and rewarding role with the opportunity to make a difference.
Duties will include cleaning all communal areas, kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Keeping a very high standard of cleanliness whilst organising your own time and routine. Ensuring that premises and work areas are cleaned to the service standard, leading to a clean, safe, secure and healthy space. You will be responsible for ensuring adequate stock of cleaning supplies, and the safe use and storage of them.

- The ability to work on your own initiative when required.
