- Maintenance of servers and data centre storage equipment (typically part replacement).
- Opportunity to become involved in network build projects (running cable, mount cabinets and A/V equipment, access points, cameras and NVRs)
Skills
This is a junior to intermediate role and the challenges you will be presented will be commensurate with your skill level. Ongoing technical training will be provided but you will be expected to begin with a substantial background in IT hardware support (a mix of education and professional experience, experience from gaming and personal pursuits is welcome). You are also expected to be in possession of notable people skills that will allow you to provide technical support in both retail and corporate environments - this includes:
- careful and clear communication
- confidence
- reliability
- punctuality
- an ability to multitask, prioritize and deal with time constraints .
Schedule & Environment
The regular schedule for this position is Monday to Friday from 10am to 7pm, with some occasional evening and weekend requirements.
Growth
Our technical support division provides service from coast-to-coast in Canada, and has been growing rapidly in the last 3 years. Both within and and beyond this current role you will have opportunities for professional development and increased compensation - learning about more advanced technologies, and taking on increased responsibilities. From this current role there are opportunities to qualify for a Network Systems Administrator role, and from there IT Operations Management, among others.
Please apply by email only (do not call). We thank all applicants but only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Do not call or email if you have not been contacted.
