Salary: £50,000 in London, £45,000 in a regional office

What you’ll be doing

As a tutor on our solicitor’s apprenticeship programme, you will be part of one of the fastest growing offerings in our law school. Our legal apprentices are already in the workplace and so we are looking for practitioners ready to deliver practically-focused learning with a ‘hands on’ approach. We are looking for qualified solicitors specialising in one or more of the following areas covered by our legal apprenticeships programme – commercial practice, property, litigation , contract, public law. You will provide highly engaging workshops and constructive feedback to our students and be enthusiastic about the role of technology in achieving this. You will operate in a blended learning environment comprising predominantly online teaching, with potentially depending where you are based some teaching taking place in our Waterloo centre.

What’s in it for you?

In this role, you will be a legal apprenticeships specialist. As your expertise on this programme develops, you could play a major role in the shaping of its content. Alongside teaching, you’ll be involved in marking assessments and potentially the design and updating of materials. You could also have the chance to mentor tutors on other law school programmes who are new to teaching on the legal apprenticeship programme.

Job Background

With hybrid working available, you’ll be able to split your time between one of our centres and wherever you choose to call home. Either way, you’ll benefit from a vibrant workplace and a culture that believes in looking after others, while being part of a diverse workforce where difference is celebrated. In addition, you’ll work alongside other like-minded professionals who champion progress, while having opportunities to develop in an environment where creativity and innovation is rewarded.

On top of a competitive salary, we provide a generous annual leave entitlement of 33 days, and there’s a rewards package that includes retail discounts, Group Personal Pension Plan, dedicated healthcare and dental plans that offer additional assurance to look after you and your family. You can also study any of BPP’s courses for free – be it a professional qualification or full degree.
