Using your diverse range of skills as an IT Technician you will:
- Maintain vital facilities including RF screened rooms and server rooms including IT architecture, infrastructure and networks
- Manage and take responsibility for vital engineering equipment and inventory management
- Order stock and equipment for engineering teams
- Support and maintain Windows and Linux IT infrastructure
- Work with diverse teams to deploy and maintain IT and networking infrastructure

With your interest and talent for IT, you will become the go to person keeping one of our engineering teams running smoothly.
You will provide wide ranging administrative IT support for Windows or Linux machines from installing updates, configuring software and managing equipment records, to setting up and cabling networks, server maintenance and troubleshooting technical issues with hardware and software. You will work closely with other teams to ensure seamless operation of operational systems and equipment.
There are many areas that we cover, for example, you could be trialling test equipment, following or creating test specifications, or deploying vital IT infrastructure.

Person specification
More About You
You will already have experience in:
- Setting up and configuring IT equipment, including desktops, laptops and mobile devices
- Basic knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems
- Basic troubledshooting skills for technical issues with hardware and software
To strengthen your application, it would be beneficial if you have one or more of the following (but these are not essential):
- Knowledge of networking and security concepts, such as TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
- Understanding of networking elements, such as the role of switches and firewalls
- Experience of virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems
- An understanding of basic software concepts and cloud technologies
