About Us

Newly formed from a partnership between The Minerva Learning and Wimborne Academy Trusts, Initio Learning Trust comprises 17 schools across Dorset. Our head offices are in Wimborne where you will be primarily based. We offer outstanding education through every stage of schooling, from nursery through to upper sixth form, and pride ourselves on offering genuine professional development opportunities for our support and teaching staff, enabling every person to thrive within their role.

As a growing Trust, we are expanding our central team who work to provide day to day support to all of our schools through functions such as HR, Finance, IT and Data management.

About the role

Working under the guidance of the IT and Deputy IT Manager, and as part of our central IT support team, great communication skills are equally as important as good technical skills in this role.

The successful candidate will provide first line support to ensure that our staff and pupils can access and use their technology effectively, and ideally will already have at least 1 year’s experience of working in front line IT support; be able to work with a wide variety of stakeholders and understand the importance of excellent service delivery.

And Day to Day?... You will be:

  • Working closely with the IT team to deliver excellent IT service delivery to the Trust
  • Providing first line IT support to users who have raised logs through the IT helpdesk, ensuring customers are kept regularly updated
  • Establishing and maintaining user accounts for staff and pupils
  • Providing first line maintenance of equipment to ensure all ICT equipment operates effectively, and reporting faults for resolution as needed.
  • Supporting staff in the use of IT and AV equipment
  • Security marking and logging new equipment
  • Providing great customer service to our staff and pupils

In return, we can offer:

  • a commitment to supporting professional development and genuine career opportunities
  • a supportive and flexible working environment which offers equal opportunities for all
  • access to the local government pension scheme and generous holiday allowance.
  • a range of employee benefits including Cycle to Work and Health Cashplan
  • free onsite parking
