Junior IT Support Technician
As part of our continued expansion, on behalf of our client based in South Leicestershire we are seeking to recruit a full time Junior IT Support Technician.
You will work alongside existing team members providing support to the IT Department and the rest of the users within the business. There will be daily tasks as well as problem solving different issues each day. You need to be able to think on your feet and use initiative as well as drawing on knowledge already obtained or eager to find a solution and learn new skills.
About the Role:
· Provide first line support to the business on operating systems, hardware and ERP.
· Ensure all support cases are logged and tracked and resolved on the service desk
· Assist in the setup and deployment of hardware related to projects
· Assisting the IT team with projects and other work
· Assist in hardware configuration and installation in the branches when needed which will require the occasional travel and stay over.
· Assume other responsibilities while other members of IT are out of the office
· You will be office based in Leicester and report to the Business Systems Manager and work alongside a knowledgeable and well-established team to ensure you gain the required knowledge.
About you:
· A passion for technology
· Knowledge of the Windows Operating system and familiarity with PC hardware and architecture
· Results driven person who can successfully see a project through to completion
· Proactive with doing work and learning new technologies
· Good communicator with attention to detail and someone who enjoys working as part of a team.
· Valid UK driving Licence
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £23,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
