Job description

Canon is looking for a dynamic IT Support Specialist to provide IT technical and operational support as well as excellent customer service to Canon Europe Limited (CEL) & Canon UK employees and Senior Management. Being part of the Local Support Team means maintaining a high level of operational support, guidance on technical issues to Canon employees and contractors in cooperation with the European Central IT Support.
Scope of Position. As the technical Support Specialist, you will provide a technical support escalation point, to the IT Management team.

What we ask

Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Provide IT Support to Canon Europe HQ, Canon UK and Ireland employees including remote offices and field-based employees
  • Work in a collaborative environment on IT projects with IT peers and stakeholders
  • Ensure SLA targets are met whilst providing a friendly customer-oriented approach, escalate where required
  • Image, maintain and deploy Windows 10 laptops, and support of mobile devices (Samsung and Apple)
  • Install, maintain, and upgrade IT equipment and network infrastructure. Including working with external vendors for support and maintenance
  • Maintain IT assets and ensure documentation and logs are kept up to date and compliant
  • Work closely with the IT Local Support team, Service Desk team and third line support teams

You will need

Required skills:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with Office 365, One Drive, SharePoint, MS Windows 10 and Servers.
  • Good Experience with MS Teams and Cisco Video Conferencing solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks with excellent problem-solving skills and a clear analytical approach
  • Good working knowledge of provisioning and supporting laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals
  • Demonstrate good oral and written communications skills with experience of dealing with internal customers, key stakeholders and external vendors
  • Demonstrable experience working within an IT Support role preferably for a corporate enterprise company
  • Completed an IT related degree or apprenticeship

Desirable:

  • Understanding of framework and/or ITIL related qualification
  • Cisco networking qualification
  • Experience with supporting MAC OS

Further Information

Salary – £33,896 - £35,779 + 5% OTE bonus dependant on experience.

Location – Canon UK & Ireland, The Bower, Stockley Park, Uxbridge
