ServiceTec currently has immediate openings for Part-Time IT Support Technicians to work Nights and/or alongside our team of day shift engineers to provide cover at the UK’s busiest airport, London Heathrow.
Working on a zero hour contract, predominantly between the Night hours of 22:00 to 03:00, or on occasions covering the day shifts between 04:00 to 13:30 and 13:30 to 23:00, you will be supporting and performing Preventative Maintenance on a wide variety of equipment including Common Use Systems, Airline and Ground Handler desktop and check-in systems. It is expected that staff will work an approximate average of 40 hours per month on a zero hour contract.
Individuals will need to have a technical aptitude however training will be provided for any specific technical skills required for the position. You will ideally have had experience of dealing with a variety of customers in a fast paced and pressurised environment.
Candidates are required to meet the following criteria:-
- A flexible approach to working hours is essential as this position will involve working on a zero hour contract, including Public/Bank Holidays and some weekends, predominantly at Night. Candidates will also need to be able to work the occasional daytime shifts to cover for staff absences.
- Must have a technical aptitude/interest in I.T. although training will be provided.
- Previous Customer Service experience, ideally in a customer facing role.
- Access to your own transport/24hr public transport to Heathrow Airport.
- Additional college and/or technical training is an advantage.
Offers of employment will be dependent on passing satisfactory Aviation Security Clearance (including Criminal Record Checks and 5 year employment/education referencing check) in order to obtain your Airside pass.
