Candidates would be expected to demonstrate good communication skills and understanding of basic requirements for individualised patient care, would hold a current care certificate and be willing to train further, be flexible in their working hours, and would attend mandatory and customer care updates.

What you will be doing:
  • Monitoring patients' conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations and weight.
  • Helping with washing and dressing
  • Giving assistance with feeding
  • Helping patients to mobilise
  • Helping patients with toileting
  • Generally assisting with patients overall comfort
  • Keeping the ward environment clean and tidy
