The Role - IT Support Manager

Duration: 9 – 12 months contract

Location: Head office (Kenley), various homes in South London & Brighton

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)

Hours: Working hours can be flexible with this role (open to candidates looking for part-time and full-time hours)

The Role

OwnLife Group is an independent organisation committed to providing children and young people with a caring environment in which they can achieve independence and fulfil their personal goals. We provide support to children and young people in our residential homes, semi-independent and outreach units based across South East and South West London.

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Manager to join our team at our Head Office in Kenley. Free on-street parking is available, as well as a flexible working.

As an IT Manager at OwnLife, you will be leading a project where you will be implementing a business management software called Access Workspace. Please find a link below for further information:

In this role you will provide a professional IT Manager service to the organisation, including:

  • Implement, train staff and manage ACCESS project
  • Assist with the migration of old system to new system
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the staff
  • Supporting the use of Intranet
  • Overall management of website implementation
  • Management of IT hardware devices
  • Advise on IT solutions
  • Assist with IT equipment purchasing and budgeting
  • Advice and monitor Information Security policies, procedures, and standards to protect the organisation's data and systems
  • General support of all IT systems within the business, alongside our contracted service support

Requirements for this role:

  • At least four years’ experience of managing IT systems (essential)
  • Industry standard qualification (essential)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Good problem-solving skills and able to minimise errors
  • Self-discipline, able to plan and prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
