About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our growing IT Platform team. You will join a small agile team and be required to learn and understand the complex world of venture capital and early-stage startup investments. In this role, you will be our 1st & 2nd Line Support responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, answering user queries, and providing guidance on hardware and software issues.
What we need from you:
- Provide technical support to employees for desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications and operating systems
- Maintain and update computer systems, including patches, updates, and backups
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve more complex technical issues
- Assist with the procurement and deployment of new hardware and software
- Train employees on new hardware and software applications as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed
What we ideally want you to have:
- Proven experience as a Desktop Support Specialist or similar role
- Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and other commonly used software applications
- Familiarity with Azure AD and Microsoft Intune, and remote desktop support
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
