Introduction
We are seeking a practical and enthusiastic IT professional to join our team, with experience providing user support, day to day IT operations, solving problems, security and compliance. We will consider a candidate with at least 2 years commercial IT experience or a graduate with a relevant degree.
We offer exposure to most aspects of IT, working hands-on with a wide range of IT systems, and a variety of tasks, objectives and project work. We follow a continuous improvement methodology, use a risk-based approach, and encourage technical skills development. There are progression opportunities within the team over time for those who demonstrate exceptional performance.
Responsibilities
- End user and client related technical support, day to day IT operation (including networking and security), problem solving and diagnostics, information security compliance, change implementation, some project work.
Personal qualities, experience and skills
- Windows Active Directory and Group Policy administration
- Security, IP networking and firewall administration
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Android OS
- Ticket-based team workflows
- Customer friendly with good communication skills
- Linux server administration
- Linux desktop
- Information security standards such as ISO 27001 and PCI DSS
- SQL writing
- AWS or cloud-hosted infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) / Terraform / Docker, programming or scripting (Bash shell / Java)
- Mobile device break/fix diagnostics
- Technical diagramming
- Writing good quality documentation and requirements specifications
- Cloud contact centre technology and SIP
Salary Range - Grade 1: £18,000 - £25,000
