This is an IT Level 3 Apprenticeship role - split 80/20 between employment with the employer, and learning - gaining qualifications with Solveway Apprenticeships!
Main areas of responsibility
We are looking for motivated, hard-working people who are passionate about technology. Our apprenticeship programme is intended for candidates who are looking for a career in IT.
Main duties and responsibilities are to provide 1st line support to all VITS clients:
- Respond to Helpdesk requests remotely
- Help desk calls –taking help desk calls; logging and tracking calls
- Hardware and software repairs in a workshop facility
- Installation of hardware and software
- Carry out network documentation and reporting
- Assisting with sourcing spare parts and replacement equipment
- Assisting Technical team with maintenance tasks and installs
Skills and abilities
- Have an approachable manner, be professional, organised and methodical and be able to manage and prioritise their own workload whilst remaining calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work using your own initiative or as part of a team.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Passion for IT and a willingness to ask questions.
Full training on all systems will be provided, however a background interest in IT is essential.

Salary: £27,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
