PURPOSE OF ROLE:
To provide first and second line IT and telephony support to users. Ensure configuration and maintenance of computing systems to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 standards and maintenance of the integrity and confidentiality of company and customer information in line with GDPR guidelines. Carry out the IT department’s implementation and maintenance of the organisation’s computing needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide phone, desk-side and remote support to users, including resolving hardware and software issues;
- Maintain licences for software used by the organization;
- Ensure that all mobile devices issued by the organization are fully encrypted;
- Act as the initial point-of-contact for all IT and information security issues and incidents;
- Schedule site visits to audit sites and make improvement proposals;
- Identify and report on “weak spots” in the IT infrastructure;
- Adhering to KPIs and SLAs;
- Set up, configure and install new PC’s and associated equipment in accordance with company procedures;
- Provide 1st/2nd line support for desktop, server and network infrastructure equipment, including network switches and routers;
- Work off site at Edge locations within the UK, as required;
- Provide a high level of internal and external customer care;
- To partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the Company Standard;
- Responsible for promoting a professional image of the Company and for complying with the Company's Equal Opportunities and Harassment Policies at all times, including work related events which take place outside normal working hours;
- Comply with all relevant Health, Safety and Security Regulations;
- Read and comply with Company rules, procedures, agreements and any notices displayed by the Company throughout your location;
- You may be requested to work out of hours to meet business needs.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help spread awareness of information security issues within the organization.

- Possesses effective oral and written communication skills;
- Able to plan and schedule work.
PROFESSIONAL⁄TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
- 2-3 years' experience in a services organization or IT-related business is desirable. Experience of consultancy services organisation advantageous.
ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- IT or related degree desirable.
