If you are an enthusiastic Paediatric nurse looking to advance your nursing career then Surgical day care at Birmingham Children's hospital is the ward for you!
Our service is ran by a friendly and dynamic team who always strive to do their best. We strive to deliver excellent care and provide a positive patient experience for all the children we look after.
Shift patterns are daytime hours only 7.30am-20.30pm 5 days a week and 7.30am-15.30pm at the weekends and on bank holidays. Flexible working can be considered if this is important to ensure you have a good work/life balance.
- To deliver high standards of care in partnership with children, young people and families in a safe and professional environment
- To be responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care to children and young people and their families/carers
- To positively contribute to the achievement of local (ward) and Trust wide objectives
- After a period of preceptorship and development - To supervise and teach junior staff and students, and to take charge of the ward in the absence of senior colleagues
- To adhere to Trust policies and procedures
