IT Project Planner – Inside IR35
Contract Term: 6 Months
Contracting Authority: DWP
Location: Hybrid working (Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham or London)
As an IT Project Planner your main responsibilities would be:
· Owning the overall Digital Project Plan and leading the collaborative planning across stakeholders, establishing priorities, conflicts and issues, helping everyone to navigate a complex environment.
· Working with Change PMO to reflect Digital’s plans in the Programme’s High-Level Plan.
· Working with Strand Leads to keep the team’s MS Project Plan up to date with progress, new activities, and changes.
· Reporting on the plan’s overall progress and critical path.
· Being an integral part of the FAS IT Central team and PMO.
· Managing planning risks, issues and dependencies (external and internal) for Digital Project Plan and escalating them, where necessary, to the Digital PMO and SCS.
· Leading and supporting some of the transition activities.
· Providing plan updates to DWP teams and 3rd suppliers and incorporating appropriate changes and feedback.
· Playing an active role in the FAS IT delivery community, improving ways of working
You’ll have relevant experience in:
· Proficient and skilled using Microsoft Project.
· IT project planner experience.
· Experience of managing IT projects.
· Relevant IT Industry experience.
· Relevant MS Project experience.
· Experience of project management and working with other teams and suppliers to build complex Project plans.
· Tracking the delivery of large-scale digital products and services within a managed IT environment.
· Experience of DWP Governance processes.
· Translating information from stakeholders to ensure we understand objectives.
· Experience of working in a large government department
· Good stakeholder management experience in a complex matrix structure, fostering strong relationships with 3rd party suppliers and Digital teams.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to share information, resources and support.
· Use critical thinking to support decision-making and to challenge decisions from others to ensure the deliverability of the plan.
