IT Project Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW

We’re hiring for an IT Project Manager to join our amazing IT Team.

We are looking to appoint an IT Project Manager to join Beavertown Brewery on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of IT, this new role will manage a range of strategic projects led by the IT function, as part of a wider programme to significantly enhance our Digital & Technology capabilities.

For each project you will work with the Head of IT, Senior Leadership Team and business experts to gather requirements, scope and plan the projects, identify and select the most appropriate technical and process solutions, and implement the new solution with the chosen 3rd Party software provider and business expert users. Following implementation and stabilisation phase you will work with other members of the IT Team to integrate the new solution into sustainable BAU (business as usual) support processes.

The projects will be determined according to the Digital & Technology Strategy aligned with the Senior Leadership Team. During the first 1-2 years these are likely to include SAP Business One version upgrade, integration platform, Purchase to Pay platform, Financial Budgeting Planning & Analysis solution, S&OP/Supply Chain Planning software, and Human Capital Management. There will also be projects relating to Microsoft 365 and IT security.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scoping, requirements gathering, planning and solution design.
  • Leading cross-functional teams of business experts.
  • Testing, implementation, stabilisation and handover to BAU support.
  • Working with 3rd party service providers and consultants.
  • Project reporting and maintenance of key project artefacts.
  • Supporting the Head of IT with other IT projects, initiatives, strategy and planning as required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience (minimum 3-5 years) in a project management role is essential.
  • A recognised Project Management qualification is strongly preferred.
  • Experience of managing projects in at least two of the following areas would be an advantage – SAP Business One version upgrade, integration platform, Purchase to Pay platform, Financial Budgeting Planning & Analysis solution, S&OP software, and Human Capital Management.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Project Management software skills.
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including communication, collaboration and team working.
  • Comfortable and confident working with business stakeholders at all levels including Directors and Heads of Department.
  • Managing and working with 3rd party vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications, and to communicate technical ideas and concepts to users in business terms and language.
  • Financial awareness to evaluate cost versus benefit analysis of technical solutions, and to deliver projects within agreed budgets.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and to prioritise and manage competing demands.
  • Experience in the FMCG sector or other fast growth businesses would be an advantage.
