Responsibilities

  • We are looking for an experienced Project Coordinator to join our team to support our IT PMO in delivery of technology initiatives
  • Analysis and support of the IT projects portfolio in the IT PMO
  • Analysis and support IT PMO report generation for resource and capacity planning, project and portfolio reports
  • Support the tracking of project resources against approved budgets; maintain updated project forecasts
  • Support the IT PMO in day-to-day management of project deliverables including administrative functions and processes
  • Ensure IT PMO processes are followed
  • Identify and assess change requests, escalating when necessary to ensure scope management
  • Prepare documentation including business cases and project charters
  • Ability to lead and complete smaller projects or initiatives
  • Establish relationships across multiple business areas
  • Engage and manage 3rd party vendors and consultants as required for successful project execution
  • Facilitate IT PMO meetings and leader presentations
  • Research, review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes as well as enhancing them
Experience and Educational Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Coordinator (preference for experience working within an IT PMO)
  • Basic knowledge of project management and business analysis concepts
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field is preferred, however, a combination of professional certifications and/or experience will be considered
Technical Requirements
  • Hands on experience in project management reporting and tracking
  • Strong core project management skills including multiple aspects of the PMBOK
  • Experience with MS Project, MS Project Online and PowerBI or other reporting tools
Non-technical Requirements
  • Self-starter, the successful candidate demonstrates strong accountability and pride of ownership to deliver quality solutions
  • Rapidly learn new business processes and operating practices, and apply this knowledge to improve project planning and delivery
  • Strong communication skills, including technical writing skills
  • Business/service oriented, with the ability to create and maintain productive relationships.
  • Influence and engage all levels of stakeholders and support change
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective organizational, time management and planning skills
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, as well as ability to work independently
