Applications are invited for an IT Officer to provide front line services for staff and students in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences. This post works alongside another IT Officer to ensure a continued delivery of an excellent day-to-day IT service allowing the team to grow and evolve in line with strategic academic priorities.
You will be expected to turn your hand to any task that will ensure the efficient delivery and use of the services provided by the University’s and the Division’s IT Teams. You will be a self-motivated and proactive problem-solver and be capable of providing advice to clients at all levels of experience and IT competence. Experience of Microsoft Windows and Apple personal computers in a multi-user networking environment is essential.
You will be an associate of MSD IT Services and will be expected to keep up-to-date by attending relevant industry events and training courses at the discretion of the Head of Administration & Finance.
You will have a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, including good prioritisation and interpersonal skills, preferably in an IT service Desk environment. You will have expertise in supporting Microsoft Office products and both Windows and Apple OSX desktops and have familiarity with common mobile devices. An ability to work independently and proactively are required.
You will be based in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG.
The post is permanent and available on a full-time basis.
