We have an exciting opportunity for an IT MANAGER at our PROVIDENCE, RI location. This is the primary IT contact for the US and Mexico and requires excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, to coordinate with Mahr’s global IT team in Germany.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Support virtualization technologies (such as VMWare) and NAS (NetApp).
Manage/support cloud-based phone system, conference room solutions and digital signage.
Manage ISPs for all locations.
Manage departmental budgeting and sign off on monthly invoices.
Collaborate with Shop personal and Engineers on shop networking needs.
Provide Help Desk assistance when the primary Help Desk Analyst is unavailable.
Manage/purchase/support network hardware such as computers/laptops, copiers, printers, switches, access points and firewalls.
Manage hardware and software vendors.
Provide Level 1 support for Penta (ERP) and Citrix.
Manage e-waste pickups.

Education / Qualifications / Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science and 5 to 7 years’ experience or 10 plus years’ experience in Information Technology with an Associate’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
Good communication and organization skills.
Must be able to work independently, yet collaborate effectively with German counterparts.
Leadership skills necessary to supervise and motivate a Desktop Support Analyst and to glean acceptance and cooperation from others over whom no direct supervision exists.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
